Families First has volunteer opportunities available for individuals and groups from community members, congregations, local schools, community organizations, and businesses. Volunteers are an essential part our team and must be able to work with a diverse group of people.

Depending on the activity, certain volunteers will undergo background check and must be 18 years of age to ensure the safety of the children and adults participating in our programs.

Volunteer projects vary throughout the year. There’s always a need for all types of skills and experiences and each program is flexible, meanwhile matching available opportunities to your specific skill set.

Volunteers help with a wide range of projects, from youth and adult enrichment to administrative tasks. Additionally, volunteer projects may be one-on-one training with a staff supervisor as well as independent work.

Families First offers volunteer opportunities based on the need of individuals and the community. Below is information to help you decide which volunteer opportunity is best for you. We can only offer positions that are currently open.

General Volunteer Requirements

All volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
Volunteers should have good manners
Volunteers must be able to speak, read and write in English.
Volunteers that are bi-lingual/Spanish speaking is a plus
All positions are unpaid.
